About Alive In Christ Ministries
Alive In Christ Ministries has been formed as an on-line community and fellowship of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to the doctrines of the historic Christian faith and, as well, are committed to the saving gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, which when embraced, results and issues in a life that is totally and completely transformed by the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This on-line community and fellowship is not a part of any particular denomination; and we are not opposed to denominations as such. Our desire is to fellowship and dialog with all those of like-precious faith.
Here at Alive In Christ Ministries, we believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves to be Christians. Jesus said "...they will know that you are My disciples by the love that you have for one another..."
With this in view, at Alive In Christ Ministries, we believe that….
*Worship of God should be according to truth…..
Therefore…we view God’s Word, the Bible, as being our final authority for faith and practice. As such, by the illumination of the Holy Spirit, we seek to come to a knowledge of the truth. The truth of the Scriptures is our only authority; and while we do believe in true biblically based Christian-experience, we believe that any experience that is truly Christian is based upon the text of the Scripture itself; and that we do not seek any Christian experience that is beyond or apart from the authority of God's Holy Word....the result of this being that as Christians we worship God as over against "worshiping worship..." or having a "worship experience..."
*Worship of God should be spiritual….
Therefore….we seek to live our lives by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
*Worship of God should be fruitful…..
Therefore….We look for His agape love flowing from our lives as being the supreme evidence that we both know Him, and have been with Him and have been worshipping Him. Jesus said, "...love one another even as I have loved you...and they will know that you are My disciples by the love that you have for one another..."
*Worship of God should be inspirational….
Therefore….we believe that music and singing should have a great place in song-worship. And as such, we will seek to provide links to those kinds of resources to assist your fellowship or Bible-study group to have a rich time of biblically-based song-worship in your gatherings.
*Worship of God should be intelligent…..
Therefore…..we place great emphasis on the teaching of the Word of God here at Alive In Christ Ministries. As well, we believe that Gospel preaching (the exposition of the Holy Scriptures) is as much (if not more) a part of worship as is praying and singing. And as such, we will seek to provide resources and links to resources to assist in your studying as well as in the sharing & living out of God’s Word.
